Self-Introduction Time (The Artist of TFA)
Heya, this is onegreyelephant (the primary artist of Threnody of Archaea) — a self-confessed late-comer to table-top gaming. It wasn’t until my fifth attempt at University that a friend convinced me to try out a one-shot D&D session.
I don’t remember much about it except there was a lot of drinking (for the players) and a picnic (for the characters).
Also the fact that I had a great time- unfortunately my mathematical skills are about equal to a kindergartener, and the amount of numbers flying around the table with each dice roll did my head in.
Following this experience, I decided I much-prefered drawing other people’s characters over actually playing the game. Eventually, however, realised there were other dice systems that didn’t involve so many numbers and I was tempted to try again with a number of other games on offer.
At one pivotal moment in time, I embarked upon a random discussion with Bear, in which we discovered a mutual interest in gaming and his current project: Threnody of Archaea. I eagerly signed on as a game-tester, and then artist and book designer for the TFA project.
I think this game has great potential for players who want to explore the depths of their creativity.
The stories which you can build within these worlds are limitless, so play hard- and have your characters push your GM to the limit.
Hope you enjoy.
